Bye Bye Boot Camp

I am done with boot camp until after the baby is born...it is just way too hot out there! I will reactivate my gym membership and start working out there for now.

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from Nativiti yesterday afternoon to let me know that I passed my gestational diabetes test! Bring on the sugar! :)

27/28 week check up

This morning I went in for my check up. Madeline and I got to Nativiti around 8:40 and I started my gestiational diabetes test. They drew my fasting blood and then I had to drink an orange drink full of sugar. Madeline and I played for a while in the front and then we moved over to the birthing center and played there for a while. Around 9:30 Rena came in and did my check up...all sounds good and measured well. The heartbeat was around the upper 140's...so it could be a boy. Also she told me another Ole Wives Tale that I had never heard before. If you like to lay on your left side at night (which I do) then it is a boy. But she also asked me the sweet or salt question...and I am craving sweets (which means girl). So once again...we have no clue what this baby is! After that I had to give more blood. Then Madeline and I watched a little TV and then moved back over to the clinic side to play a little. Finally my two hours were up and I gave one more tube of blood. I have never wanted food so badly in my life. haha I should get the results back tomorrow, but I feel pretty good that all will be ok!

Daddy gets to feel

Daddy got to feel this baby kick for the first time on May 30th. We were laying in bed and I told daddy that the baby was really punching. Daddy put his hand on my belly and got a kick that he was NOT expecting! Daddy agrees now with me that this baby is a lot more powerful then Madeline was. At only about 24 weeks he felt a kick like he did at 30 weeks for Madeline.

Baby D's Birthday!

Sunday we celebrated the day that Baby D. would have been born. We never really knew him, but we will always remember him on May 28th! We planted a yellow rose bush where he is buried in Maw Maw and Paw Paw's backyard. He will get to enjoy the sun and pool with us forever this way.
Mommy, daddy, and Madeline will love you forever little guy!

24 weeks

On the top (pink dress) is Madeline and the bottom is Baby Dartez (this morning, before Madeline and I went walk)!

WOW

This kid likes to move!!!!!!!!!!! The other night I was almost in pain and thought I might lose my supper b/c of all the movement. It makes me happy to know that the baby is safe and happy in there, but wow this one active. Can a baby really be more active then Madeline? haha Oh well, we will be one active household!

23/24 week appointment

Today I went in for my appointment. The baby's heartbeat sounds really good (what a great sound!!!!!) and I measure right at about 23 1/2 weeks. I have only gained about 9 pounds...very proud of myself. I think I had gained around 15 or 16 by now with Madeline. They gave me my fruit punch drink for my glucose test next month. I hope that my test comes back as well this time as it did with Madeline! Only 16 1/2 more weeks until I get to meet the little person moving all over the place in there!

Feeling pretty good!

This morning I went for a jog/walk for 2 miles. I felt pretty good and I really did jog about half of it. At one point I had to run across the enterance to the subdivision with lots of cars. I ran a little quicker and almost forgot I was pregnant! I feel great today!

And now off to the chiropractor to feel even better!

22 weeks

Madeline on the left at 22 weeks and Baby Dartez on the right at 22 weeks. I am still feeling pretty good, but also still going to the chiroprator twice a week. I have been feeling the baby move more and more every day. I think daddy should be able to feel Louis/Annabelle soon.

Braxton Hicks Contractions

I started feeling these more and more last week. Catherine told me last week at my appointment that I should be feeling them for a couple minutes throughout the day. She did say that I might be too busy to feel them some of the time, though. I don't think I realized what these were last time until I was into my third trimester!

Hyper Baby

I found out last week at the ultrasound that my placenta is in the front just like it was for Madeline. I started feeling Madeline around 19 weeks and I started feeling this baby a couple weeks before that. It is normal to feel your second child sooner, so that is not my worry. My worry is that I feel this baby kicking a lot more then I did with Madeline. Could this child really be more hyper then Madeline?!?! haha Oh well, I guess the baby weight will come off quickly!

It's a Healthy Baby!!!!

Today I went in for my 20 week check up. All sounds and looks great! The lab tech was new so I got to hear a lot of what she was looking at while she told the other tech. They looked really closely at everything too since she was learning, which is nice to know. Both the teches said that everything looks really good and right on schedule. I closed my eyes when they went down under so once again we do not know the sex of the baby. The heartbeat was 158...so that doesn't even really help with the gender either. We will all find out around the end of Sept!

19 weeks

Picture taken yesterday...19 weeks (top)

Madeline...20 weeks (bottom)

Movement

Last week I started feeling the baby a lot! It is so much fun to feel my little one moving around in there. Last night he/she was really kicking up a storm and I thought maybe Jeremy might be able to feel him/her...but nope! It shouldn't be long now though.

17 weeks

Here is a picture of me at 17 weeks with Madeline on the left and 17 weeks with Baby Dartez on the right. I think I am growing much faster this time...haha!

I am feeling pretty good, for the most part, but still pretty tired! I have been having some pelvis pains and back pains...but not all the time. I hope to start feeling the little one move a lot soon!

Pains

I started feeling a little pelvis pains last week and today I am feeling a lot. This is probably about a month or two sooner then when I felt them for M. I go to the chiropractor on Monday...thank goodness!

15/16 Week Appointment

Tuesday I went in for my second appointment. I met with Rena, a new midwife at Nativiti. She listen to the baby heartbeat and said everything sounds great. She said the placenta sounds good also. I had gained 5 pounds since my 9 week check up. All is right on schedule and sounding great! I schedule my next appointment, which will already be 19/20 weeks and time for an ultrasound. I can't wait until April 26th to see my little peanut again!

I started back up with boot camp this morning and I am still able to run some. I did a pretty good job and it actually felt good to get back out there. I have a little more energy today! Can't wait until Wednesday morning!

First Appointment

Our first appointment went great! We got to see the little peanut and it's heartbeat, which was at 182 beat per minute. Sounds like another girl. haha We met with Melanie and she said that every looks great and she is not worried at all. She is so confident that she said that she doesn't even need to see me back at my 12 week check up. I go back at the end of March and I can't wait to hear the heartbeat again! Oh and she gave me the same due date that I was thinking...September 18th...probably October 2nd (Maw Maw's birthday)!

Telling everyone

Mommy told Maw Maw, Paw Paw, and Aunt Missy on our Anniversary and daddy told Gi, Grandpa, and Aunt Jennifer the next day. We told a couple more people (Ms. Julie, Mrs. Tracey, Mr. Brent, Mrs. Misty, and Mr. Peter) right before the ski trip. Then after our first appointment we decided that we could start telling everyone.

Skiing

This baby has already been on the slopes!!!!
I had to go in to see the midwives right after I found out that I was pregnant so that they could check all my levels with blood work. While I was in there I said something about us having a ski trip planned but how I was not going to ski now. She told me I would be fine...so up on skies I got. This kid better be a skiier b/c I was a serious trooper on this trip. At one point I had to run to the bathroom b/c I thought I was going to be sick and an hour later I was skiing (well what I call skiing) again.

Morning Sickness

I started with morning sickness around the end of January...and I felt sick most of the day! It was really hard for me to get out of bed...bootcamp was a joke and poor Madeline had no one to play with! I finally started to feel better this past Saturday while I was in Lafayette. I am glad to be back to normal (for the most part) and a fun mommy to Madeline again!

Happy Anniversary

The weekend after we found out was our Anniversary weekend so I got/made us this cake!
We celebrated both wonderful events in our lives that night with Madeline!

Life After A Loss

On January 14th we found out that we were blessed with another life in my belly. I woke daddy up early before I went to bootcamp to tell him the news. We were both very excited! I wanted to yell it from the roof tops, but thought that maybe we should wait awhile. I wanted to make sure this time we had a true miracle.
